Well, I've done a bit of research online, and I still think I want to do the wedding bouquets myself. The Knot has a seemingly simple tutorial here. I think I need to do a trial beforehand to figure out how long they will take - but the bigger issue is probably going to be storing them for a day or two before the wedding, and how they will look. Since the wedding is early in the day, and we're doing pictures beforehand, there probably won't be time to do them the morning of - unless I'm having trouble sleeping!
I'm still hoping my dahlias will bloom in time for the wedding - so far, lots of leaves but no buds. Not too surprising. Supposedly adding too much nitrogen to the soil can increase foliage at the expense of flowers, so I need to make sure I'm not over-nitrogenizing the soil! The plants are doing really well, despite the fact that I didn't do most of the things that the experts recommend (soil testing, working bonemeal in before planting...) so we'll just have to wait and see. Too bad patience isn't my strong point!

I think that's a great idea! Perhaps doing them the day before and refrigerating them for Sunday morning would work? There's such a great selection at the farmer's markets too! :)
